Remove members and transfer ownership
Remove a member
Owners and Team admins can remove people from Team. Team admins can remove ordinary members but not other Team admins.
- Choose Remove on their row.
- Confirm in the dialog that asks "Remove name from the team?"
You'll see "name was removed from the team." They lose access to your team's links, QR codes and analytics straight away. They aren't left without an account: they get a fresh team of their own on the Free plan. Everything they made for your team stays with your team.
Transfer ownership
Only the owner can transfer ownership, and only when there's at least one other member.
- Open Team and find Transfer ownership.
- Choose the New owner from your members.
- Enter your password.
- Choose Transfer ownership, then read and confirm the dialog.
The new owner gets billing, team settings, and the power to grant Team admin and transfer ownership. You become a Team admin with all permissions, so you can still manage members, but you lose the owner-only powers.
Important: You can't undo this yourself. Only the new owner can transfer ownership back to you.
You'll see "Ownership transferred to ..." afterwards.
Before you delete your account
Owners of a team with other members must transfer ownership before they can delete their account. See Delete your account.
Before you join another team
If you own a team that has other members, an active subscription, or links or QR codes, you can't accept an invitation to a different team until you've dealt with those. See Invite team members.
