My link isn't working
Fix a short link that shows "This link isn't available" or goes to the wrong place.
When a short link can't be used, visitors see a page titled "This link isn't available."
Why it happens
- The link is paused. Open Links. If its status is Inactive, use the play button to resume it.
- It's been deleted. Deleted links can't be recovered. Create a new one, though it will have a new short address. See Create a short link.
- The slug was changed. Editing a slug changes the short address and the old one stops working. See Edit, pause and delete links.
- It was typed or copied wrongly. Copy the short address from your Links page again. Check for missing characters at the end.
- It's a QR code problem. A paused or deleted QR code shows the same page even when its link is active. Check QR Codes.
- Your account was deleted. Links from deleted accounts stop working. See Delete your account.
The link opens but the wrong page loads
The link's Destination URL is set to the wrong address. Edit it. Changing the destination is available on plans that include it; on other plans you'll need to create a new link. QR codes follow a link's destination automatically.
Clicks aren't showing up
- Analytics can take a moment to update. Refresh the page.
- Check your time period. Clicks outside it aren't included.
- Paused or unavailable links don't record clicks.
Still stuck?
- Make sure the address starts with your Shrtly domain and has the full ending.
- Try in a private window, to rule out something in your browser.
- Ask whoever manages your team's links whether it was changed. See Roles and permissions.
