Invite team members

Invite colleagues by email, choose their permissions, and manage pending invitations.

You can invite people from Team settings if you're the team owner or a Team admin, and your plan includes team members.

Send an invitation

  1. Open Team.
  2. Under Invite a member, enter their email address.
  3. Under Permissions on joining, choose what they can do: Create, Update, Delete and, if you're the owner, Team admin. Everyone on the team can view links, QR codes and analytics whatever you choose. See Roles and permissions.
  4. Choose Send invite.

You'll see "Invitation sent to ..." and the person is emailed an Accept invitation link. Pending invitations are listed below the form, and you can cancel one with Cancel.

Seats

Your plan sets how many people you can add besides yourself. The card shows how many slots are left. Pending invitations count towards the limit as well as current members. When you're full, the form is disabled and you'll see how to make room or upgrade. Plans without team members show an upgrade prompt instead of the form. See Plans and limits.

If you have a plan change scheduled to a smaller team size, that smaller limit applies straight away.

What the invited person does

  • Already have an account? They sign in using the same email address the invitation was sent to and follow the link.
  • New to Shrtly? The link takes them to a sign-up form with their email already filled in.

Once accepted, they join your team with the permissions you chose and the invitation disappears.

When acceptance is blocked

  • The address they're signed in with is different to the one invited.
  • They own a team of their own that has other members, an active subscription, or links or QR codes. They must sort that out first. See Remove members and transfer ownership.
  • Your team is over its member limit at that moment, for example after a plan change.

Tip: Invitations don't expire, but if someone loses theirs you can cancel it and send a new one.
