Create a QR code
A QR code always points at one of your short links. That means you can change the link's destination later without reprinting the code, and every scan is counted.
Create a QR code
- Open QR Codes and choose New QR code.
- Choose what it should link to:
- Use an existing link: click one of your links in the list, or
- Create a new link: type a destination URL and choose Continue. A new link is created for you.
- In the designer, check the Name. It starts as the link's title (or its short ending) and you can change it.
- Adjust the design if you like. See Design and export QR codes.
- Choose Save QR code.
You'll return to the QR Codes list, where each code shows its name, its scan count, and buttons to view stats, edit, pause and delete.
Important: Save first, then download. To get the image, open the QR Codes list, choose the code's Edit button, and download from there. A code downloaded before it has been saved isn't tagged as a QR code, so its scans would be counted as ordinary link clicks instead of QR scans.
Starting from a link
You can also open the designer for a specific link by choosing it from the list in step 2. If your team has no links yet, you'll only see the Create a new link option.
Things to know
- Editing a QR code doesn't change what it points to, so codes you've already printed keep working after you tweak the colours or name.
- Pausing a QR code stops it working, and so does deleting it. Anyone scanning a paused or deleted code sees "This link isn't available", even if the link itself is still active. See Edit, pause and delete links.
- Deleting a link deletes its QR codes.
- Each plan has a monthly limit on new QR codes. See Hitting a plan limit.
- You need the Create permission. See Roles and permissions.
